Nokia on fire

Sunday, April 20, 2008

After buying out Trolltech, Nokia is now set to port QT to their new platform named "maemo" (Besides GTK +). I'd happily give away my IPhone (if i have one) for a phone based on such an open and extensible platform. Way to go Nokia, time to chew some apples.

KDE port on windows now available

Monday, February 4, 2008

I have been waiting for this day ever since QT 4.x was made available. Finally a semi-port (some of the features are broken) is now available for you to dirty your hands with ;). Only if Amarok is made available that i'll happily uninstall winamp from my machine.

Obligatory pictures goes here (hotlinking to MrCopilot's blog)

Check out step by step installation guide with shots [HERE]

Windows Presentation Foundation and Microsoft

Friday, February 16, 2007

I may or may not be correct on this, but my gut feeling after working on WPF/E based applications is that it would be a bigger hit than Windows Vista. I have always been a big fan of Trolltech's QT framework but WPF/E just blew me inside out (WPF/E plugin is available for both windows and MAC - the day we have a plugin for linux it would change things a lot).

Just install the WPF/E plugin on your browser and checkout some sample applications to see for yourself.
