Store one zigabyte info one 1cl of water

Sunday, September 9, 2007

I couldn't believe when I first read this, but the Institute of Digital Science, japan has come up with new technology which allows to store zerabyte info (do you know how much is that) on a cubic litre of H2O aka water.

Liquid Bytes

This is silly.
beyond silly. And "cl" normally means centi-liter (i.e. 1/100th of a liter). Cubic liter doesn't make sense because the liter is already a unit of volume.

Also the nearest prefix to "zigabyte" would be zettabyte which would be 10^21 bytes.

Look further in the Prototype section and you'll see on the last page that the site's author has created the site for a project called "media lies" and they have no such technology. I wanted it to be real too.

I like your post and your ideas, but I would like to know more on this topic, as I do not totally share your opnion. "Opinions are made to be changed --or how is truth to be got at?"
